- Built-in Windows-to-Mac migration in macOS automatically transfers your documents, music, contacts, calendars, and email accounts (Outlook and Windows Live Mail), and puts them in the appropriate folders and applications on your new Mac. If you buy your Mac at an Apple Store, Personal Setup can help you get off to a great start.
- Note that the RoaringApps Mac app is still beta software, so may contain traces of bugs. When running the app, check for anything not working as expected: a button that doesn't do anything, glitches in the interface, strange results from the compatibility information.
- Click the blue Compatibility View icon in the address bar. When compatibility view is OFF, the icon is gray. Click Tools in the browser menu bar, and then click Compatibility View. When compatibility view is OFF, a check mark no longer displays next to the Compatibility View option in the Tools menu.

Compatibility View Settings For Mac Computers
An Internet Explorer 11 update issued in late November has caused problems with websites and services like Cypress and Interactive Reporting. This issue can be resolved by adding the websites to the compatibility mode list.
Note: Interactive Reporting, including both the IR Workspace (web) and the Studio Desktop client, will be decommissioned on March 1st, 2019. Neither the web nor the desktop software will be available or supported after this date.
UW-Madison affiliates can find more information on alternative tools on the Office of Data Management and Analytics Services website.
Other UW System affiliates can find additional information, as well as a list of support contacts, on the UWBI Support website.
These websites can be added to the compatibility mode list by doing the following:
In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu. Unless you have the menu bar enabled, this will be a gear icon:
Note # 1: You can display the menu bar by either: 1) pressing the ALT key or 2) right-clicking the Address bar and selecting Menu bar.
Note # 2: If the Internet Explorer browser zoom level is set to something other than 100%, then the mouse clicks register in incorrect places on the browser screen, giving the appearance that one cannot access content or can access content selectively
Click Compatibility View Settings.
Under Add this website, enter the URL of the site you want to add.
Click Add.
The list should look like the following if you added the typical websites.
Upon reloading the webpage, content should display properly.
Note: By default, IE11 is set to clear your browser history when you quit, which also clears the list of websites added to Compatibility View. To disable this setting:
Open the Tools menu as described in step 1 above, then select Internet Options.
Under the General tab, uncheck the Delete browser history on exit, then click Apply. If you do not disable this setting, you will need to recreate this list every time you launch IE.
